Sashiko is often referred to as Japanese embroidery.  Literally, it means 'little stab'.  The beauty of sashiko is in its simplicity.  Sashiko is worked with a straight stitch or running stitch.

Each sampler includes preprinted cotton fabric with the pattern and can easily be sewn into a pillow, tote or used as a panel in a larger project.

The sampler finishes 13 inches by 13 inches.
