While I like the idea of not fiddling with a **** on a hoop, I found this one not to my liking for two reasons. First, the spring is difficult to work, although I understand it needs to be tight to hold the fabric firmly. Secondly, the spring does reduce the stitching area and there is a small gap at the top of the spring that does not tighten the fabric. I'll stick to the hoops with screws, which is what I've always used (but it doesn't ever hurt to try something new which you can pass on to a friend if it's not to your liking).

I joined a fat quarter of the month the year before last. I hadn’t used any yet. I then joined a block of the month that these would work perfect in. For some of the blocks I needed more than the fat quarter I had on hand. It was so nice to go back to Red Thread Studios and get the additional fabric I needed and to know it would match the fabric I already had.

Nicely packaged and arrived earlier than I had anticipated. I love good customer service! I had started this as a BOM with another site. My mother became seriously ill and I was distracted and missed the last two months. I contacted the site recently to explain and never heard back. As I said good customer service is important to me.

I go to a lot of sew days where I carry my blocks. It is nice to have something so small to add to my bag. Works great, recommend for appliqué and piecing blocks📍
