Love Jen Kingwell patterns. I have 2 of her block of the month. She encourages people to use tons of different fabrics. So one I'm making like this. and I'm learning about colors. The other was a kit, so it includes fabric, and comparing the two will hopefully give me the confidence to make quilts of my own.

Jen & her team added some extra fabrics to my monthly subscription order & saved me on shipping expenses. They are always very helpful.

What do I start first? The embroidery or the hexies? I have both started! The pre printed linen is beautiful to work on. When I looked at the fabric used in the sample I realized that it was Tilda fabric. That was a great surprise as I have so much Tilda fabric and I already had that in my stash😃

The quality is good but in my opinion the machine brushes do a better job at getting into the tight places of my machine. I was hoping the dust would cling to the tips buts it really doesn’t. I am using them to clean the TV remotes though.

I’ve had this pattern for a few years. I think about it often and collect red fabrics for making it one day. The video is absolutely helpful on giving me confidence on how to start. Without it I would have been lost and frustrated. Thanks for posting this video up.

Received my first email from Helen on Wed and my panel today (Friday). I have the SF101 and will iron that on. Embroidery thread is not a problem for me, haha. I am good to go when the official emails begins in 4 more days. I am so excited and thank you so much for offering this panel and taking care of the daily emails. I am really looking forward to this slow stitching project.

This was just what I needed to keep track of and easily access all of my various threads. I love the clear vinyl so I can see what I have and the zippered pockets keep the thread from rolling around .

I love the pattern….just started a week ago….finished the school house block❤️. Have my pickets cut, but haven’t started assembling yet. Lots of pieces but I’m making good use of my scrap piles. Service from Red Thread is excellent as well.
