The warm colors and boutis style of the South of France are the main features in this pattern. It is a wonderful pattern for using some of the fabrics from previous projects.

The sunflower blocks are hand piecing while the butterfly blocks are appliqué. A lovely wavy border adds some charm as well as some clamshells for a perfect finish.

The different backgrounds of the appliqué blocks adds interest to Provence. By using different color combinations you are making a truly unique quilt.

This Provence pattern looks good in reproduction colors as well as modern colors.

And if you blew the pattern to a 165% you will have a queen size quilt!
